In my opinion, all food handlers should be given training on food safety regulations at least once a year. I also make certain that my staff is aware of any changes in rules and regs or new information concerning food safety. For example, at my previous job, we had to alter our hand-washing policy due to studies into which antibacterial sprays were the most effective. Everyone needed to understand the new rules so that they could follow them correctly.

When I worked at ABC Restaurant, I recently went above and beyond in terms of customer service. I had an existing customer who came in every day at the same time and ordered the same menu item. I quickly picked up on his pattern and prepared his order for him when he turned up. I became familiar with him and would inquire about his day.
